Remake of ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’
Well what do you suppose would happen if a remake of ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ is done. Though that would also depend on who is doing it, JP sahab or Ramu but that is a different topic altogether and lets just stick to the abstract concept.
Lot of things have changed since the original ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ came and I must say the culture shift is quite aptly reflected in the new DevD [for those who are on earth and not living in a distant jupiter of their own]. Though touching the impact of internet/webcam on our lives, DevD still gives a very individualistic picture of todays world. It doesn’t reflect on other global issues like terrorism, global warming, and so on.
Let us just try to collate a list of ideas and how can they be a part of this re-make:
1. Terrorism – Well Anthony can be shown as a terrorist and how he does his exploits. Or maybe a bomb blast in Karol Bagh and its impact on a simple love story.
Now I would request you to think of an idea and add it here by comments. I will write more after a few days.

Knowledge Trap
Once you are exposed to a concept or a domain, then you continue to relate new thought processes to that concept and domain and fail to relate it to other more opportune ideas. I call this the knowledge trap. We can avoid this knowledge trap by exploring the concept properly instead of jumping to “I know it all” state of mind.
Always remember the adage “little knowledge is dangerous”.

different streams in management
I personally feel, that different fields of management are about managing different kind of information. With type of information varies tools and techniques to handle that information. Also, you need to evaluate if you are comfortable in handling that kind of information.
secondly, tools for handling different kind of information are different and hence the skill/thought process needed to analyze this information is also different.
emotions.. some claim to know it all.. but do they..

On Marketting ~ Philip Kotler
I felt strongly that marketing managers, in order to make better marketing decisions, needed to analyse markets and competition in systems terms, explicating the forces at work and their various interdependencies. That sparked my interest in developing models of markets and marketing behaviour. My intention was to put marketing decision-making on a more scientific basis. I also felt that marketable objects included more than products and services; one can market people, places, ideas, experiences, and organisations.
Furthermore, marketing required another broadening move, one that wouldn’t assume that marketing’s only task is to increase demand for some product or service. What if the current demand for a product is too strong? Shouldn’t the marketer raise the price, cut advertising and promotion spending, and take other steps to bring demand more in line with supply? Those measures took on the name demarketing, which proved an applicable concept in many situations. What if a reform group wants to destroy the demand for a product deemed unhealthy or unsafe? Its marketing task is named unselling. All those observations led to my recognising that marketing’s central purpose is demand management, the skills needed to manage the level, timing, and composition of demand.
