Well what do you suppose would happen if a remake of ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ is done. Though that would also depend on who is doing it, JP sahab or Ramu but that is a different topic altogether and lets just stick to the abstract concept.
Lot of things have changed since the original ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ came and I must say the culture shift is quite aptly reflected in the new DevD [for those who are on earth and not living in a distant jupiter of their own]. Though touching the impact of internet/webcam on our lives, DevD still gives a very individualistic picture of todays world. It doesn’t reflect on other global issues like terrorism, global warming, and so on.
Let us just try to collate a list of ideas and how can they be a part of this re-make:
1. Terrorism – Well Anthony can be shown as a terrorist and how he does his exploits. Or maybe a bomb blast in Karol Bagh and its impact on a simple love story.
Now I would request you to think of an idea and add it here by comments. I will write more after a few days.

Another possible idea is this: Instead of having a police case on the father… we can show him to be the CEO of a company which has been involved in a big fraud..at the end we come to know it was infact his evil counterpart CFO who did his MBA from a reputed B-skool..
